one more!

I know I've already sent two last e-mails, so here's a third.
There's some confusion about whether the reunion is on or off, whether it costs or not.
The reunion is on. It is at 7pm at the Pavilion in Poughkeepsie. Behind the train station, next to the Children's Museum.
There is no cost - other than what you spend at the bar. Those wanting refunds can contact me by email, otherwise I will keep the $ in the fund for next reunion.
By the way, I happened to be able to stop by the Class of '80's reunion Friday night at the River Station which is just down the street from the Pavilion.
I've been in contact with Ricky Ballasone and it was his sister Georgine's reunion. His mother was there too! It was really great to reconnect, share short life stories and laugh about how old we all are. (As my ex-mother-in-law used to say - you know anyone who's getting any younger?)
Apparently they had the same difficulty rounding people up. And had the same idea of making it open to different classes. But - similar response. People didn't want to go to a reunion that wasn't their year. Personally, I don't get it. Although I do understand that reunions just aren't that interesting to a lot of people. For me it's a great chance to touch base through the years, and have a little fun in the process.
Here's to seeing you all next Saturday night!

REFUNDS

If you want one, just let me know. Otherwise money goes into a fund for the next reunion, which Brenda and I will begin planning this fall. And will be in two years, to celebrate the year most of us will be turning 50. Also I will keep track of who has donated, and apply whatever discount for that reunion.

Map to the Pavilion

This is probably my last post til I see you all on the 30th at 7pm. So here's a link to an online map. Google or Mapquest it, if you have to. Or call the Pavilion at 845.471.2233. Any other questions, buzz or email me. riva_isms@yahoo.com or 917 747 8990. Til then!

Offically Excited

Came home tonight to checks from the DePascuales, Bob Furlong and Kathy (Ellul) Torreggiani and her husband Ken. And I have to say to all of you - thank you so much for the lovely notes. Everyone is so appreciative. And honestly, I haven't done much but squawk. The thing I'm going to keep squawking about from now til the 30th is the time. Forget 2pm. We'll now meet in the evening. I just have to check in with Mat at the Pavillion regarding what time they open. Perhaps he can still do a little something special for us. I'll see what I can work out. Worse case scenario we enjoy the humungous bar and have a great time catching up. Thank you all so much for making this happen! It will be great fun.

RSVP list so far

Tom Monjeau
Amelia Moore (sent a check but isn't really 100% sure she can make it)
JD Cowles
Tom Jones
Kevin Whalen
Gary Williams
Joe Labriola
Kevin Brewster
Tim Baldwin
Steve and Robin Licker
Genny Fitzgerald
Michael Tierny
oh, yes, and then there's me.

That's it as of today guys, so it's looking like we're going to do a time change to the evening of the 30th. I have to check in with the Pavillion, and will hold off until the end of the week, in case a small miracle happens and I come home to a mailbox full of checks on Friday.
I can refund everyone's money. Or, we can keep it in the kitty for the next time around. That would be my preference, as Brenda and I will be working on another reunion in about two years time, starting this fall. Let me know what you think when we meet on the 30th.

procrastinating

I keep putting off having to make the decision, but if we haven't got the 50 minimum by end of next week, we'll have to move the reunion to the evening of the 30th. We did get quite a few more checks this weekend, with promises of a few more on the way. We're still nowhere near 50. By I remain hopeful, ever the optimist.
